Sizes: Women's Small (Medium, Large)      Note: Numbers have only been tested for size Small -- if you find any errors in the larger sizes, would you please alert me:  lambknitj@juno.com
Finished Bust Measurement: 37(39, 41) inches.

Materials: Size 6 and 9 (U.S.) knitting needles; worsted weight yarn; cable needle; stitch markers; six 1-inch buttons.

Gauge: 4 sts/inch in moss st on larger needles.

Abbreviations:
M1 knitwise: lift running thread between sts and knit into the back of the loop.
M1 purlwise; lift running thread between sts and purl into the back of the loop.
C5B: slip next 3 sts to a cable needle and hold in back; k2, slip the purl st back to the LH needle and purl it; k2 from cable needle.
C2R: Slip 1 st to cable needle and hold in back; k2, then p1 from cable needle.
C2L: slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in front; p1, then k2 from cable needle.
RT: Knit 2 tog, leaving both sts on LH needle, then knit first st again. Remove both sts.
LT: Knit into the back loop of 2nd st on needle, then k2 tog thru the back loop (!st and 2nd st together)
k1-b: knit 1 through the back loop.

Moss Stitch:
Row 1: (k1, p1) - rep for as many sts as required.
Row 2: knit all knit sts, purl all purl sts.
Row 3: purl all knit sts, and knit all purl sts.
Row 4: rep row 2.

WIth right side of Left Front facing and smaller needles, pick up 96(100, 104) sts evenly along front edge. 
Row 1: k1, (p2, k2) across to last 3 sts, p2, k1.
Row 2: k1, (k2, p2) across to last 3 sts, k3.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 twice more, then row 1 again.
Row 8: knit
Row 9: purl.
Bind off knitwise.


Buttonhole Band: 
With right side of Right Front facing and smaller needles, pick up 96(100, 104) sts evenly along front edge.
Row 1: k1, (p2, k2) across to last 3 sts, p2, k1.
Row 2: k1, (k2, p2) across to last 3 sts, k3.
Row 3: repeat row 1.
Row 4 (buttonhole row). k1(1,5), *k1, ssk, yo twice, k2 tog, k1, (p2, k2) twice,p2, rep from * to last 3(7,3) sts, patt to end.
Rows 5,6,7: repeat rows 1,2,3. (working double yo's on first row as k1, k1-b).
Row 8: knit
Row 9: purl.
Bind off knitwise.

Sew shoulder seams.
Armhole Bands:
With smaller needles, pick up 94(94, 98) sts along one armhole edge.
Knit 4 rows.
Row 5: k1, (p2, k2) across to last st, k1.
Row 6: p1, (p2, k2) across to last st, p1.
Rows 7,8,9: Repeat rows 5,6,5.
Bind off in patt.

Repeat for second armhole.
Sew side seams.

Neckband: 
With right side facing and smaller needles, and starting after rolled sts, pick up 7 sts along buttonhole band, 19(21,23) sts up right neck edge, knit  sts from Back on holder, 19(21,23) sts down left neck edge, and 7 sts along button band
Work ribbing same as rows 1 and 2  of button band for 10 rows, binding off in patt on last row.

Sew on buttons.
