Directions: With yarn doubled, cast on 58 sts.
NeckWarmer portion:
Work in k2, p2 rib for 16 rows.

Sew Hat Back Seam (This is the side that has only stockinette stitch at the edge.)
Sew Front Ribbing only up to Garter stitch section.
Make a tassel as follows:
Wrap yarn around a 4-inch piece of cardboard about 20 times. Thread a long length of yarn (about a yard) under the top of the wound strands at the top of the cardboard and tie off securely. Cut the loops at the opposite end of the cardboard. Cut a 6-8 inch strand of yarn and tie it around the bundle of the tassel about 1/2-inch from top. Fasten securely, and pull the thread ends into the middle of the tassel.
With the crochet hook, make a chain 1-2 inches long with the two long strands coming out of the top of the tassel. Use the remaining ends to attach the tassel to the point of the hat.
