Light and Lacy Blanket
This blanket matches the Light and Lacy Christening Gown in my publication Elegant Ensembles, Book 2. There is no picture available at this time, but the pattern is the same as at the bottom of the skirt.
Crib Size Blanket: approx. 32X44 inches.
Difficulty Level: Intermediate
Materials: Sport weight yarn, about 10 oz., size 6 (US) knitting needles.
Gauge: 5 1/2 sts/inch in stockinette stitch
Cast on 187 sts.
Purl 5 rows.
Begin pattern:
Row 1: (wrong side) and all other wrong side rows: purl
Rows 2 and 4: purl 5, k1, * ssk, (k1, yo) twice, k1, k2tog, k1, rep from * across to last 5 sts, p5.
Row 6: p5, k1, *yo, ssk, k3 k2tog, yo, k1; rep from * to last 5 sts, p5.
Row 8: p5, k2, * yo, ssk, k1, k2 tog, yo, k3; rep from * to last 5 sts (last rep will end with a k2 instead of a k3), p5.
Row 10: p5, k3, *yo, sl2-k1-p2sso, yo, k5; rep from * to last 5 sts (last rep will end with k3 instead of k5), p5.
Repeat rows 1- 10 for pattern.
When blanket measures approximately 43 inches, purl 5 rows.
Bind off.
