Materials: Marks & Kattens Big Trend yarn (model knit with shade 414), two (100 g) balls; size 8 knitting needles.
 
Finished Measurements: approximately 14 x 70 inches.

Gauge: Not important
 
Directions:
Cast on 68 sts.
Row 1: k4, p1, *k2, yo, ssk, p1, k4, k2 tog, yo, ssk, k4, p1, rep from * two more times; k2, yo, ssk, p1, k4.
Row 2: k5, *p2, yo, p2 tog, k1, p3, p2 tog-b, drop yo from previous row, yo twice, p2 tog, p3, k1, rep from * two more times; p2, yo, p2 tog, k5.
Row 3: k4, p1, *k2, yo, ssk, p1, k2, k2 tog, drop two yo’s from previous row, yo three times, ssk, k2, p1, rep from *  two more times, k2, yo, ssk, p1, k4.
Row 4: k5, *p2, yo, p2 tog, k1, p1, p2 tog-b, drop three yo’s from previous row, yo four times, p2 tog, p1, k1, rep from * two more times, p2, yo, p2 tog, k5.
Row 5: k4, p1, *k2, yo, ssk, p1, k2 tog, drop four yo’s from previous row, cast on 4 sts, knit under four yo-strands from previous rows, yo, and knit again under the four strands, cast on 4 sts, ssk, rep from * two more times, k2, yo, ssk, p1, k4.
Row 6: k5, *p2, yo, p2 tog, k1, p5, p2 tog, p6, k1, rep from * two more times, p2, yo, p2  tog, k5.
 
Repeat rows 1-6 for pattern. Work even until 1st skein of yarn is used up, and ending with row 6. Place all sts on a st holder or spare needle.
 
Make second half of shawl with second ball of yarn, following directions as before.
 
Holding two pieces of shawl wrong sides together, graft all sts together.
